A quick run down of CHA

The picture of Candy Spelling. I mentioned her on the last blog. She did the ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday.

Okay, I don't have a lot of pic's but here's what I saw and liked at CHA. Provocraft is coming out with the new Expressions 2. It it will cut images from the Imagine cartridges, but does not print. It also has a display screen so you don't need the overlays from the carts. You can see everything on the screen. It's really cool.

Echo Park paper is adorable. Here are a few pics from the sample pack I got. And Madison Parker is very cool! He grew up in California and is very laid back, and fun to talk to. And Jody is awesome too. They have some great coordinating stickers to go with each line.

That's all for now I gotta get some rest to be ready for tomorrow!

All about CHA!!!!!

Yesterday was my first day of CHA!!!! I had so much fun. Candy Spelling did the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Straight on to Provo Craft! They had away these cute Cricky plush toys and a copy of Cricut Magazine!.

I got to meet Jinger Adams and I took a class on the new Imagine. The were also demo-ing some really cool projects. Then it was off to Prima, where I saw all of the new Vintage Trinkets line. They are metal embellishments and they are awesome! The reset of the day was a whirlwind of products, and I ended at Echo Park Paper, where I got a picture with Madison. He and Jody are so nice. Jody explained that Echo Park Paper is actually named after Echo Park here in Los Angeles, and the papers tell stories about the city. That is so awesome!

More fun and mayhem on Monday!

Baby Owen's Birthday Gift

Okay, my cousin Jenny's baby is turning 1, so he's not a baby anymore. He has too many toys, and plenty of hand-me-down clothes from big brother Ethan, so what get, what to get? A scrapbook page of course! Nothing fancy, I'm super swamped this week. Some super cute Karen Foster paper, the bear from Cricut Christmas Cart, and a crown that I trimmed up a bit to match the paper. Oh, some white ribbon and a little bling. I hope Jenny, oops, I mean Owen, likes it.

All you need is love

Hi all! (Yes I know all 7 of you but I appreciate you!!) This is the last card for my class. I can't believe it's only 2 days away! Should be loads of fun. I was inspired by a card I got a few years back. Gives me a chance to teach tearing technique and use the Sew Easy stitch piercing tool from We R Memory Keepers. This heart is from the Beyond Birthdays cart. The stamp is from Hampton Arts, and the floss is bubble gum from We R Memory Keepers.

An almost Valentines Card (but not quite)

Getting to into the mood for Valentines Day, although I missed the mark! Most of the people I showed this to though it was a bridal shower card. I was experimenting with colors and I think black and red would have been a better fit. Anyway, the bustier is from the Cricut Tie the Knot cart, and I just had to use it. It's very va-va-voom! Of course the flower I made myself (see my tutorial two posts ago) The edges of the card are chalked with Colorbox chestnut roan, and the lace is a Martha Stewart punch. I love Martha Stewart punches because they are just so easy to use.

More Valentines to come, and maybe something special in my future. (I might just be a professional crafter! he-he)

Anyway, I though I would include something old. This is a project I did a while back, and I stuck it in a frame and never put a picture to it. (I haven't been to the snow in years, although I say I am gonna go every season!) Nothin' fancy, but I though it was cute at the time.
