Lucky Charm Blog Hop!
Welcome to my Blog and the Lucky Charm Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Shawnte's Blog, you're in the right place. If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can start at the beginning at http://www.crossmyheartpapercrafts.blogspot.com/. This blog hop is all about creating something for the lucky charm in your life.
My lucky charm just happens to be a Prince Charming, AKA my husband. I will not bore you with the sappy stuff about how great he is, but I will say that he is a perfect fit for me!
My first attempt at this layout was way to "girlie", or so my husband said. (Hello! Girl, I am a Girl!) So I took out a lot of the pastel colors and ended up with this layout. Yes, I did sneak in a little gold crown. I used the Best Creations Glitter cardstock to make the crown. I love that stuff because the glitter does not shed, unlike my cats, but it's a little tricky to cut. I have to use multi-cut to get all the way through. And they have an adhesive backed version of the glitter paper too.
I made this layout using my Cricut and a Martha Stewart paper punch. The castle window, sword, shield and trumpets all came from Disney's Happily Every After Cartridge, and the wording is from Calligraphy Collection
The background paper is from Best Creations, the green pattern paper is from Creative Imaginations, and the cream and red paper I used for the trumpet flags is from 7 Gypsy's (and it's flocked!)
And now for the good stuff, I have Blog Candy!
One lucky hopper who comments on this post will receive this copy of Cricut Magazine! You must be a follower to win, and I will choose one comment at random on March 21, so please check back then.
I hope you enjoyed my project. Thank you for visiting my blog. Your next stop is Melissa. Below is a list of all blog participants in case you get lost:
