100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to the 100 Cartridge Blog Hop.

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Hop

If you are joining me from Dana's Blog  then you are in the right place. If you happened across my blog and would like to play along in our fun hop, you can go to My Cricut Craft Room at http://www.mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com and start at the beginning. There are many talented ladies in today's hop. This is a two day hop so be sure to come back tomorrow to see the second half of the blog line up.  The idea of this blog hop is to show you how to use 100+ cartridges.

My project today is a layout in honor of Valentines day. For this layout I used Gypsy Font, Gypsy Wanderings, Jasmine, Storybook and Tie the Knot.

The large red medallion (or shield or tag, what ever you want to call it) is from Storybook. I used Imagnisce double sided paper, and the background pink paper is the other side of  the paper.

The black flourishes on the medallion are from Tie the Knot. I really like how they follow the curve of the medallion.

The word "close" is from Gypsy Font. The heart is from Gypsy Wanderings. But I didn't like how the "to my" looked in Gypsy Font so I switched to Jasmine for that part. The cream colored paper from Chatterbox, and it has a light patter of glitter on it that you can sort of see in the photos. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the edge of the cream paper, and that little strip of cream is actually part of the left over from the punch. The plaid ribbon is from my local craft store.

Princess Blog Hop

:
Welcome to my blog and the Princess Blog Hop.  If you happen to stumble upon my Blog and would like to play along please do so by starting at Sylvia's blog over at www.bellascrapbookdesigns.blogspot.com
To check out the Sweet Stamping Treats giveaway click here.

For this hop I decided to make something for a little princess that I know. She is very special, and I thought that she deserved something pretty and hand made for her bedroom.
This is Miss Olivia. She is 2 1/2 months old and has the most beautiful blue eyes. Olivia and her Mommy are visiting from out of state. They came to be with Olivia's grandfather, who passed away from cancer on Thursday. Little Olivia is having a hard time with all of this, constant changes in location and lack of routine have made her a bit fussy. And I know exactly how Mommy feels, as I lost my own mother to cancer more than 20 years ago.

So I made this banner for Olivia to take home with her and hang in her room. I hope that it will remind Olivia and her Mommy that someone out here besides Grandpa thinks she is a princess.

I cut the castles from Life's a Beach, and I used Best Creations patterned paper and glitter paper to create them. I also backed them with chipboard so they would be sturdy enough for the travel home.

I made a crown, because what princess would be complete without her crown? This one is from Happily Ever after. Of course I did some resizing with my Gypsy. I punched holes in each of the designs and ran some satin ribbon through them and tied bows.

And a of course a heart. Olivia is sure the be a heart breaker soon with those baby blues. This one is from Create a Critter and I really like the way it looks.

The font I used to cut out the letters is Jasmine. And what would a Princess Blog Hop be without candy?
I have put together some sweet blog candy for you. This includes a Chatterbox album in chocolate brown (i love this one by the way) some Inkadinakdo damask stamps, a set of 66 chipboard flowers from Making Memories, and all the other fun crafty stuff you see here. All you have to do to for a chance to win is leave a comment on this post and be a follower of my blog. Pretty as a Picture Card

It's that time of year again, Wedding Season! June is such a popular month for weddings that I've been asked by at least 4 friends to make them wedding or bridal shower cards. Since I just took a Copic Certification Class I thought I would try out my markers with this!

The stamp is Cheeky Beauty from The Greeting Farm. I used Gina K Pure Luxury and Momento Ink for this one. I like the Gina K paper, but might want to switch to something a little cheap if I'm going to do this a lot. The frame is from the Cricut Jasmine font cartridge, and the roses are from Prima, which happens to be my favorite flower company.  I like that it looks like a charm!
Here's a closer view of her. I'm still working on my coloring technique, but the class certainly helped. Blending and shadow are tough to master. I used some ribbon that I picked up at Pinecone Press a few months ago and the paper is from 7gypsys. I entered this card into the Paper Sundaes Challenge, Vintage or Shabby Chic. I think this qualifies for both!

Almost forgot! These are the markers that I used to color in the image.

Happy Crafting!
