Be Thankful

I'm really not much for "Fall Decor", I prefer all things Halloween! But I decided to make a new banner for my office. Of course I put it up before I photographed it, and of course I hung it in a awkward spot to photograph but I did my best.

Lest start with the close up shot so you can see what the banner is. I used the leaf from Gypsy Wanderings to make make the "flags" of the banner.

The whole thing looks like this hanging in above my desk. It says "Be Thankful" which is a good reminder for this year. It's hard to be thankful when things are going wrong, but I still have lots in my life to be thankful for.

I used 5 colors of cardstock to make the leaves, red, brown, pea green, yellow and orange. Then I used a paper from a bunch of different companies, 7 Gypsys, Pinecone Press, and We R Memory Keepers for the inside leaves, and tied it with orange, yellow and brown ribbon.

I used one of the fonts from Opposites Attract to make the letters, I like this one because it's very simple.

I love the way it came out, and I hope my co-workers did too.

Olivia's First Birthday

Okay, so my goddaughter is one and a half, and I'm still working on her first year scrapbook. But I'm only 4 layouts away from being finished! so I decided to make a cute birthday layout from one of the birthday paper stacks I have. It came with embelishements so this layout was fairly easy.

Here is a close up of the title on this layout.

Sometimes I just don't feel like turning on the Cricut and making something complicated. Happy Crafting.

The Glamorous Side of Scrapbooking 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop

Welcome to Ashley's The Glamorous Side of Scrapbooking 2nd Anniversary Hop! This is a 2 day hop so be sure to come back tomorrow. As I'm sure you guessed this hop is to celebrate Alshey's Blogaversary and the themes of the hop are Clean and Simple, Kraft, Stitching, Paper Piecing or Shaped Cards. If you arrived from An'Jenic's blog you are in the right place. To start from the beginning go to http://theglamoroussideofscrapping.blogspot.com

My card today is made with the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge and it's a Clean and Simple Card catagory. I saw a card similar to this somewhere, but to be honest I see so many cards I can never keep track of where I see everything! Anyway, this on was great for using up my scrap cardstock because it takes some small cuts.

And since I can always use a birthday card this theme was perfect. And I will have some blog candy, but you will need to come back tomorrow to find out what it is! Your next stop is Robin.
