Snowman card

One more day till Christmas and  I have a super cute Snowman card made with the Cricut Snow Friends Seasonal Cart. I just love the little jacket on this guy. I'm not sure where the background paper came from because it's been in my stash for a while, maybe Pebbles Inc? The polka dot paper came from an old DCWV  paper stack, and all the solid colored cardstock is from Bazzile.

Added this tag from Plantin Schoolbook and stamped it with a Recollections cling stamp from Michael's that I got on super low clearance last year! We are talking like 97 cents for the whole set of cling stamps, but they are super cute!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, and Happy Crafting!

Purple, Green and Orange Christmas?

Yes, I have one more snow glode card for you! This one is extra special because there is almost nothing Christmas on it!
I know, a little weird  but I wanted something to go with the orange on this snow globe. I used Bo Bunny purple Peacock Lane paper, Doodlebug Halloween Playful Paisley, and  Heidi Swap Halloween Paper on this one. I also added some orange twine.

Happy Crafting!

Another Snow Globe Card

Monday I told you about the Snow Globe Gift Tags I got on clearance and I decided to make another card with them. I got 40 tags for less than a dollar so I think they make great embellishments at a great price.

This cute little Santa went perfectly with my DCWV Christmas paper stack (I have a really old one that has lasted me several Christmas's). I used a Fiskars edge punch and some glittered brads on this car. Then I added 2 kinds of ribbon to give it a bit of extra trim.

Happy Crafting.

Christmas isn't always Red and Green

I know that traditional Christmas is red and green, but there are so many other fun colors to choose from. So I got out these old snow globe gift tags that I got on clearance a few years ago. I thought they would make great embellishments  plus the prices was great. paper and Eva (striped), american craft ribbon.
This cute deer snow globe went great the Basic Grey paper. The striped paper is from the Eva collection, and the other two pattern papers are from Eskimo Kisses.

Seasons Greetings and Happy Crafting!

Kitty Elf Card

Okay, I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I have been having some family issues to take care of. Sucks to have to do around the holidays. Lucky for me I got my Christmas cards done early! This little cuties is my Kitty Card.

I used the elf Hello Kitty from Hello Kitty Greetings because I know everyone likes Hello Kitty. The background paper is from a DCWV paper stack. Then I added the green paper punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch. The tag is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, and I adjusted it a little with my Gypsy. Then I stamped it with a little candy cane from a Recollections stamp set, and attached it with twine in Charcoal from The Twinery.

I entered this card in a challenge or two:

Be Thankful

I'm really not much for "Fall Decor", I prefer all things Halloween! But I decided to make a new banner for my office. Of course I put it up before I photographed it, and of course I hung it in a awkward spot to photograph but I did my best.

Lest start with the close up shot so you can see what the banner is. I used the leaf from Gypsy Wanderings to make make the "flags" of the banner.

The whole thing looks like this hanging in above my desk. It says "Be Thankful" which is a good reminder for this year. It's hard to be thankful when things are going wrong, but I still have lots in my life to be thankful for.

I used 5 colors of cardstock to make the leaves, red, brown, pea green, yellow and orange. Then I used a paper from a bunch of different companies, 7 Gypsys, Pinecone Press, and We R Memory Keepers for the inside leaves, and tied it with orange, yellow and brown ribbon.

I used one of the fonts from Opposites Attract to make the letters, I like this one because it's very simple.

I love the way it came out, and I hope my co-workers did too.

Happy Crafting!

Olivia's First Birthday

Okay, so my goddaughter is one and a half, and I'm still working on her first year scrapbook. But I'm only 4 layouts away from being finished! so I decided to make a cute birthday layout from one of the birthday paper stacks I have. It came with embelishements so this layout was fairly easy.

Here is a close up of the title on this layout.

Sometimes I just don't feel like turning on the Cricut and making something complicated. Happy Crafting.

A Card with Bite!

Yay, it's Halloween! Unfortunately this year I didn't get to decorate (issues!) but I did get a chance to make this fun Dracula card. All of the cuts are from Happy Hauntings, and I think maybe next year I will make my Halloween Decorations with that card if I have time.

And I had the perfect sentiment stamp from Stampendous for the inside.

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!

Boo!

Today I have one of my more silly Halloween cards. Usually I like scary, that's why I go to the Haunted Houses and Halloween events most years. Not so much this year because I've been having some issues, but back to my card.

I used a Martha Stewart corner punch for the cracks in the corners of the card, and the ghost is from Mini Monsters. I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo edge punch for the green slim under the Halloween ribbon, which is from American Crafts from my stash a few years ago. I did the Boo Ya on my computer, which is though was a cute sentiment.

I hope you like my cute/spooky card! Happy Crafting.

Creepy Night Card

Yes, another halloween card for you! Sorry about the darkness of this picture, but I didn't realize how it came out and I've already mailed it so I can't take the pic over.

This is a cute card I just couldn't resist making. The window is from the Christmas solutions cartridge, and I added some rhinestones at the top which are hard to see from the angle of the picture. The Tree is from Happy Hauntings. The spider and web are from Mini Monsters.

I thought that it came out rather well, and I sure hope the friend I sent it to likes it.

Happy Crafting.

Smell My Feet!

Today I have a Halloween Card for you. I have this adorable trick or treat paper from Heidi Grace Designs, and I found this stamp from Recollections that I bough on clearance a few years ago, and I realized that they matched so I just had to make a card with them!

I started with my Martha Stewart Bat corner punch on the black card base.

And I recycled the bat punch outs to give the card some more flair on the pattern paper.
I punched the yellow circle out of the yellow layer of the card to save paper and then stamped on my sentiment. I cut a scalloped circle using my Cricut, and added some orange twine. I love the way it came out!

Happy Crafting!

A Haunted Mansion

We are so close to Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. I've always wanted my own little Haunted Mansion! Of course this one is not nearly as cool as the Disney kind, but Hey it will do. I have owned the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge for a while now, and I just couldn't resist making this house with it.

It needs about 20 different cuts, and yes you need to look at the directions! This haunted house took me 2 hours to make, but I think it's well worth it. It made great decor for my office, but this one takes some dedication to put together.
This house is supper cute, but let me tell you I made a few mistakes along the way! It's not that easy to figure out. I recommend waiting until you assemble the house to put the chimney together, because I did it backwards the first time. But once I got it all assembled I though it needed a few touches, so I covered the roof with Purple Iced Stickles and added some green smoke to to the chimney.

A Spooktacular decoration if I do say so myself!

Happy Crafting!

Halloween Party Decor Blog Hop

Welcome to the Halloween Party Decor Blog Hop! Hopefully you will get some great ideas out of this hop.  If you want to start from the beginning please click here.

Halloween happens to be one of my favorite holiday's and my hubby sure enjoys all of the scary activities that happen this time of year. But I'm just not good a crafting scary so my project today is a set of banners. I keep seeing cute banners all over the craft world, so I decided to make some myself.

I cut the banner flags using the Tie the Knot cartridge. Not everything I make with that cart has to be romantic!

The little critters on the flags are from Paper Dolls Dress Up, and the letters are from Doodletype cartridges.

It is the perfect addition to my office decor for our annual Halloween Bash!
I think that they were very festive, even though they are not too spooky.

And I have a prize for you! One lucky hopper will win a stamp set from Inkadinkado! Just follow my blog and leave a comment to enter.

    Together, a Wedding Card

Today's project is a card that I made for a wedding. I had to throw it together quickly because I have been so consumed with other problems and I won't buy a card!

This one was pretty simple, no die cuts necessary. I used a scalloped note card page from a Making Memories book, Prima flowers and cream and black, some black brads, and a bow. The "Together" stamp is from Inkadinkado. I think it turned out pretty good.

    Happy Crafting!

My project for today is a cupcake themed layout for my little cousin Owen. He has such a cute little face, and I hope that his mommy likes it.

The cupcakes and hats are from Doodlecharms and the saying is from Sweet Treats

I used paper from My Minds Eye because it has great boy colors. I used rhinestones for the flames on the little cupcakes.

And because these are chocolate cupcakes I want to share my favorite chocolate raspberry cupcake recipe!

    Cupcakes:
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
    • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • eggs
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 1 cup boiling water

    Directions

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter willl be thin)

Line muffin cups (2-1/2 inches in diameter) with paper bake cups. Heat oven to 350°F. Fill cups 2/3 full with batter. Bake 22 to 25 minutes. Cool completely.

    Now for the raspberry!

1 can of frosting and 1 jar of raspberry preserves
Mix 1 cup of raspberry preserves with the frosting until smooth

Take the rest of the raspberry preserves and put them in a pastry bag with a narrow tip. Inject preserves into each cupcake. then frost with the raspberry frosting.

Your next stop is Melissa's blog. And here is the entire lineup in case you get lost:
