Golden Blond Hair Coloring

I had a little time on my hands so I decided to practice my coloring skills. I did take the first level of Copic certification, but I've also been trying to learn with U-tube videos.  But this is what I have learned so far:

Not too bad, except for the wonky light placement, lol. This stamp is from The Greeting Farm. One of the problems I have is that I don't have all of the colors that they use in many of the tutorials. I was able to by my Copics in two 72 sets instead of individual (it worked out to be cheaper) so I didn't really get to pick my colors.Anyway I used the colors I have on hand:

Maybe next time I will remember to take pictures as I do each layer!

Wedding projects with Tie the Knot and Sweethearts

It's that time a gain! Fall weddings. I love the Fall, all the colors change, the air gets crisp, I can pull out all of my coats. Well, not quite yet, but I am anticipating. In the mean time my friends have asked for some wedding related cards with a black and white theme. Time to put the Cricut to work!

This first one is a bridal shower invite using this super fun corset from Tie the Knot

This card has a gate fold so it opens in the middle, and yes I did run lace ribbon up the front because it was requested! I used my Gypsy to add the lace holes to both layers of the corset so that I wouldn't have to do it by hand. It was still a bit tough though. I had to do a few test cuts to make sure that everything lined up correctly.

Then I made this super simple Wedding card using the Invitation feature on Tie the Knot, and champagne glasses from Sweethearts.

Wish I had more time to create(don't we all), but this is all I've got time for.

If you just stumbled on to this blog please start at http://kraftykatstampstudio.blogspot.com. Who doesn’t like to bite into a red, ripe, juicy watermelon on a hot summer day? Yum!!!! Watermelon is a 4th of July staple in my family. Unfortunately the hubby doesn't like them, so I often buy one of those personal sized melons! So come do the Watermelon Crawl with us!

We also have some wonderful Blog Hop Candy sponsored by Jennifer Fox. She will be giving away TWO dust covers ~ 1 for a Cricut Expression and 1 for a Silhouette Cameo!
To be eligible, you MUST do the following:

My project is this Thanks a Melon card using my Cricut.

The paper is from the Nanna's Nursery Girl Stack (one of my faves!). The watermelon slice is from Preserves, and the sentiment is from Just Because Cards. The little tag is from from Sentimentals, and the white inset is just a smaller sized tag with the top cut off. I added a bit of brown accent cardstock that is paper punched on both edges.

Now you must crawl over to Nancy's blog to see what is left on the vine.
But remember… to be eligible for the candy you must follow ALL the giveaway rules above.
Thanks for hopping with us and remember…

A Sweet & Toxic Card with Copics

Okay, I know that there are tons of other marks that are way cheaper on the market right now, but I've already invested in my Copic Markers and I love them. And I haven't used them in a while so I decided to break them out for a fun card. This one is for my pal Patty, and she loves Goth style stuff. So I decided to use a stamp from my Sweet & Toxic set by The Greeting Farm.

This is how she came out! I love it. And I'm getting better at blending hair (some of my older posts with colored images look horrible!!) These are the colors I used on her.
I went for sort of a wild by simple card. The spider paper is from Basic Grey's Halloween line, and the Animal Print's are from a Michaels paper pack.
I also used my Sew Stamper for the first time. I know it came out crooked, but I think it still looks okay.

Sugar Cone!

Okay, I know another Ice Cream post. This is the last one! It's just been soooo hot lately that I can't stop myself. My hubby loves sugar cones so much he buys them to eat with his icecream at home. So I decided to make him a sugary sweet card for our 12 year anniversary. Not 12 years of marriage, but 12 year of being in a relationship. Yes, I celebrate that too. (Any excuse to eat icecream!)

This one is straight out of Sweet Treats. I added a few glitter sprinkles so it for some sparkle. Yummy!

Oh Baby! Bag that is.

I know my blog has been very slow lately, but it's Summer and I'm so busy this time of year. Between work and fun I have no time to blog. (Notice I didn't say no time to craft!) Anyway, I've been crafting some useful stuff lately. We recently had a baby shower in the office for one of our Dad's-To-Be, and we got him this great masculine diaper bag and a bunch of goodies to go in it.

I didn't like any of the gift bags at the store so decided to decorate it with a clear bag and this baby banner. The banner says Baby Robert. I know it's hard to see all of the letters in the picture so here is the close up.

I used the banner flag from Tie the Knot to make this cute banner. I stamped it with the monogram letter stamps from Inkadinkado. Then I tied some ribbons to it and voila! Custom decorated gift.
