Summer Blog Hop

Hi all! Hope you are enjoying hopping along on the Summer  Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Brandy's Blog. If so you are on the right path, if not please click on this link to start at the beginning as we'd hate you to miss out any letters. Part of the fun of this hop is that you need to collect a letter from each of our blogs and try to figure out what then spell out! You will have until July 8 to enter your answer at http://scrapersdelight.blogspot.com/

My favorite thing about summer when I was a child was the 4th of July. I loved all the fireworks, and playing badminton on the lawn with my family. Did you have those old metal sparklers? The kind they say are dangerous and don't sell anymore? I used to love those! So to remind me of all that great summer fun I made a wreath to put on my door.

This picture was taken in my back yard because the light was better, but it will eventually go on the front door. I used paper from My Minds Eye for the stars. I cut them out of chipboard and then again out of paper and glued them together to make them a little more sturdy. Then I hot glued the stars to a white wire hanger (you can see the hook at the top). I hid the wire by weaving in some blue ribbon. The white and silver ribbon tales are from some Costco Christmas ribbon. My mother-in-law was getting rid of it and I knew I could find a use for it. It worked out great because it has wire in it to hold the curl.

I am especially proud of the bow at the top. I did some experimenting on it to make it myself. I hope this wreath puts you in the summer spirit! I'm also giving away some Glue Arts Adhesive and this green tote
this month so please click here and enter to win.I also entered this project in the Decorate to Celebrate challenge #2 4th of July.

And don't forget my letter!

I hope you are inspired by my project and are enjoying the blog hop so far, when you are ready please hop over to Janet blog at http://ladyLuvBug.blogspot.com and continue the fun.

    Hi there,
Just visiting as part of the decorate to celebrate challenge and am so glad that I did. Your wreath is lovely and I can easily see the tail of the fire cracker represented by your red ribbon streamers. Too cute by far.
