Mother's Day Card

My Cricut Craft Room

Today is Card Creating Tuesday for My Cricut Craft Room is Mother's Day. I though it would be really cute to create an easel card for Mother's Day. This is what I came up with.

I used Walk in My Garden to make the vase and the flowers. Although it has tons of cute flowers I also have tons of Prima Flowers, so I decided to use those. I though that they went very well with the Basic Grey pattern paper.

This is what it looks like standing up.

I think it looks pretty cute! For more project like my please visit My Cricut Craft Room.

Red, White and Blue

It's been a heck of a week here in Sunny SoCal. The weather is gloomy in the mornings and lovely hot in the afternoons. And as my luck would have it, my hubby's transmission went out. Between replacing the transmission (on a Honda, can you believe it?) and paying for the rental car we spent some serious $$$. Which means no new craft supplies for me! I am very sad about that, but happy that nothing serious happened to my husband as he was on the freeway when the transmission decided to die.
Anyway, lets get to the crafty stuff! Patches of Pink is having a Red, White, and Blue Challenge. This is actually a design team entry to replace some team members who had to leave, but I'm not really counting on getting a spot. This card is more about how I'm feeling really. I wanted to inspire myself.

The patterned paper is from Best Creations, and the other side is glittered and kite themed. It's really cute. All of these cuts are from Walk in My Garden, which is an oldie but goodie Cricut cartridge. I feel like I've been neglecting my Cricut lately because I've been doing so many stamped cards. I'm not sure if you can tell but I pop-dotted the middle flower and the flower pot to give the card some dimension.

I printed the saying from my computer with a font called. LD Greenleaf, which I though was appropriate. I love the little caterpillar, and I was happy that it cut so well at .77 size. I used on of my copic multi-liners to add the details to him. I like that pen because the ink doesn't really spread and look messy.  I though that "Bloom where you are planted" was really appropriate, because I have to make the best of my situation, which really isn't that bad. I've got plenty of old craft supplies to play with!

Disney Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Blog and the Disney Blog Hop. If you have come from Sylvia's blog, you are in the right place. If you are just visiting my Blog and want to play along, you can do so by starting at Sylvia's blog (www.bellascrapbookdesigns.blogspot.com)

For my project I really wanted to use the Tinkerbell and Friends Cartridge. I love Tinkerbell, but It's really hard for me to use this cart for card making. Her face never looks right when I cut it small! So I decided to make a Mother's Day Centerpiece staring Tinkerbell.

I used a terracotta pot from the dollar store and painted it pink. Then I cut flowers from Walk in My Garden, and butterflies from Sentimentals

I used flower foam to put the centerpiece together and disguised the foam with green tissue paper.

I even added a little glitter to Tinkerbell's wings.

And I have a little blog candy. I am giving a way this Tinkerbell pin from Disneyland. I had a little trouble with the picture, but it says Where dreams come true. If you would like to win this pin please leave a comment on this post. And my give away of the Scotch Pink Adhesive Tape Glider is still going on till Monday, so feel free to scroll down and enter that too!

Thank you for playing along and Happy Crafting. Your next stop is Nadia
