Christmas in April?

Yes, that's right, it's the 25th of the month and that means Christmas for My Cricut Craft Room. So I am getting a jump start on those Christmas Cards, lol.

This is one of those use up your scraps cards. I've really been working on using my scraps instead of cutting into new pieces of paper because I just can't stand to waste pretty paper! I took scraps of Christmas and solid paper and cut them into 1x4.5" strips and glued them to my card base. Then I cut out Merry Christmas from Wildcard at 3.5" and glued that on. I wanted a little more interest so I added two different ribbons, and easy card! Not everything has to be super complicated to be cute.

Cards for Friends.

Time for some super cute new cards with Shabby Chic Stamp Co. First off one of my friends is expecting, so I though she could use this:

This super cute mommy to be stamp! I have never seen a pregnant woman stamp before, but I like it!

Next made an inspirational card using the Shabby Chic Stamp Set. This one is sort of a thank you for all of the birthday wishes (did I mention today is my birthday?) card.

I though that the "not too Shabby" sentiment worked perfectly.

Off to have more birthday fun. Happy Crafting!

Mother's Day Card

My Cricut Craft Room

Today is Card Creating Tuesday for My Cricut Craft Room is Mother's Day. I though it would be really cute to create an easel card for Mother's Day. This is what I came up with.

I used Walk in My Garden to make the vase and the flowers. Although it has tons of cute flowers I also have tons of Prima Flowers, so I decided to use those. I though that they went very well with the Basic Grey pattern paper.

This is what it looks like standing up.

I think it looks pretty cute! For more project like my please visit My Cricut Craft Room.

More Sweet Pea

I have another card for the Shabby Chic Stamp Co using the Sweet Pea Set. I just love this stamp set, it's so cute!

Babyology!

Today is Design Team Tuesday with Shabby Chic Stamp Co. and my cards are all about babies! I love their Sweet Pea baby stamps set.

This is a quickie and cute little card. That baby carriage was a left over decoration from someone's baby shower. I thought it went well on this card.

And this is one more simple one that I made with this set. I love the little feet on this stamp, they are just so cute.

O is for Octopus!

My Cricut Craft Room

The letter of the day on  Erica's Craft Room is O, so I created this Octopus Birthday Invitation for my goddaughter Olivia using Life's a Beach and 3 Birds Straight from the Nest

Olivia is turning 1 in May and her favorite toy is her stuffed Ursula doll from The Little Mermaid. Her party theme is going to be under the sea. Olivia's mom asked for simple invitations, so this is what I came up with. I have to make 80 of them (Olivia has a BIG family). I sure hope I have enough paper!

I cut the Octopus out at 3" from Life's a Beach, and added this party had from Straight from the Nest a 2".

Then I added the word party to the card at 1.5" This cut is also from Life's a Beach. I'd better get started on the rest of these, her party is only a month away!

Happy Crafting.

For my project today I used Rock Princess and Storybook. Storybook has to be one of my favorite cartridges, but Rock Princess is one I hardly use. I was very excited about it when I bought it, but I don't find much occasion for the cute, punky, music stuff on it. Maybe if I was a teenager!

Anyway, I wanted to make a fun card that could be for a boy or girl so this is what I came up with.

I cute the words Rock Star at 3" and glittered it for some more punk. I used Mod Podge to adhere the glitter because it doesn't warp my paper like glitter glue does. I cut the the frame from Storybook at 4".
